Learning and having fun at the same time: this is the philosophy behind the ELEMENTI educational workshops.

The workshops and educational events will be held for classes of all types and ages and their teachers, but the workshops will be open to the general public by prior booking.

Under the supervision of experts and animators, children and teenagers alike will learn how energy transformations work, how to simulate a volcanic eruption, how to express the emotions linked to “the fire inside us” using the body, or even participate in an exhibition featuring the objects they have made on the subject of light, fire and colour.

Educational events vary according to the age range.

It will soon be possible to register for your chosen workshops using the Bookings section on this website. For information, contact Licia Gambarelli  tel. 0521 706360 l.gambarelli@elementi.pr.it

>> Fire, light and colour: let’s invent an exhibition

The workshop participants will be guided towards creating simple objects using everyday materials that help them to understand scientific phenomena involving fire, light and colour.

Last year of nursery school, primary school and lower secondary school.

>> What a crust!

In a theatre performance, a singer-story teller teaches children a rhyme about plate tectonics, performing experiments and games on stage.

A tournament revolving around Jules Verne’s novel “Journey to the Centre of the Earth”, along with geological and environmental sciences.

Lower secondary school

A home entirely powered by renewable energy sources. The animators live in the house for the entire duration of the event, and will take visitors on a tour of energy saving techniques and bio-architecture.

Schools of all ages and the general public

>> Dance and the fire inside

How to express our emotions and passions through dance. A performance open to the public will be staged at the end.

12-18 years

>> Let’s simulate a volcanic eruption

In the Analogical Modelling Laboratory of Parma University, participants will be helped to examine the origins and underlying processes of the phenomena that bring the deepest layers of the planet and the earth’s crust into contact.

Upper secondary school

>> Energy and its transformations

An interactive exhibition for understanding the forms and transformations of energy, taking in solar energy and biomass cycles. The event will conclude with a series of multi-media displays on energy.

Upper secondary school and the general public

>> Guide the sustainable development of your town

A giant-size “Monopoly” game on the theme of energy: participants have to govern the resources of a colony on an imaginary planet.
